In this chapter, we will investigate different types of structured knowledge representation methods. We first consider associative networks, a representation based a structure of linked nodes (concepts) and arcs (relations) connecting the nodes. Next, we look at conceptual graphs, a structured formalism based on traditional logics. Then we consider frame structures as general methods of representing units of knowledge.
