Requirements Specification

The website

Following the user analysis, a requirements list was conducted to combine all the student requirements and the business and academic requirements and the benefits of the recommended travel websites.

The functional requirements for the website:

• The website should include a generic homepage that would appeal to generic users as well as each of the specific user groups.
• The website should have flights, hotels, holidays and insurance booking engines.
• The website should offer travel advice.
• The website should have a students section, listing deals and information about student activities within ABC Travel.
• The website should have an academics and business section displaying specific information regarding charging the trip directly to the business account.
• The website should be able to be easily maintained by the staff at ABC.
• The website should have a way for customers to enter feedback to ABC Travels.

The non-functional requirements for the website:

• The website should be aesthetically pleasant and relaxing.
• The website should be secure to prevent from attacks.
• The website should be updated frequently to display the most current offers.

The Internal System

The internal system would be used by ABC Travels to update the website. The functional requirements are listed below:

• The internal system would need high security to prevent unauthorised people changing the website, with different levels of access for administrators.
• The internal system would also need ways to enter HTML to each section of the website.
• A way to view the feedback was required.
